Mission
Agape Community Center (ACC) is a non-profit organization (501(c)3)providing
holistic social services and programs to all ages within the community.
History
ACC is an association of Golden Gate Christian Church (GGCC), which has been
serving the community in Richmond District of San Francisco for many years
through its children programs (the After School Chinese Program, Saturday
Chinese School, and Agapeland Summer Program) and Opportunity Unlimited, a
developmental disability program.
ACC is registered as a non-profit organization formed in the Fall of 2002. A
spectacular kick-off event for ACC, Holiday Fest, was commenced in November
2002. Holiday Fest included a series of activities and workshops related to
Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year celebrations: cooking, baking, floral
arrangement, beauty care, arts and crafts, and ballroom dancing.
More activities are planned in the year 2003, which includes language classes
(English and Mandarin classes), citizenship class, Tai-chi, ballroom dancing,
cooking, floral arrangement, arts and crafts, senior program, parenting program
and ping-pong night. All these activities and programs are aimed at providing
holistic social services to all ages within the community.
